Quick Update 26-May-2007

Here's some quick update:

1. Siew Lee delivered a baby boy at 4:04 PM (26 May 2007). According to Chris, Siew Lee is very weak due to losing lots of blood. Chris requested all the BOG Youth (far and near) to uphold Siew Lee in prayer for speedy recovery.

2. No Sat YF meeting for the following dates: 2-Jun (Feast of Pentecost), 9-Jun (grand wedding). As for 16-Jun, I will be in Ipoh visiting my dad (Father's Day weekend, don't forget this date, guys), most likely I may not able to make it back in time; stay tuned for more updates.

3. BOG will send a team of 18 people down to PJ's People's Park Baptist Church for the Feast of Pentecost. A van and an MPV will be traveling down to PJ on the 31st of May, 2007. Please pray for safe journey and great move of the HS.

Outing - release exam stress

We had a wonderful youth outing. The weather was so nice and no one was booking the field at all. The photos are out and will be posted to the notice board on Sunday morning (20-May-2007).

As a new rule, a male player must pass the ball to a female player and vice versa in order to advance all the way to the catcher. This had made all the young girls running up and down like never before. No longer will you see any girls being left out idled in the field. Some more it was 3 girls and 4 boys in a group, all the girls have to work harder.

However, there was no such thing as gentlemen style in the field once the game starts, we noticed Silas pushing Melissa, Mei Wan wrestling with Daniel, E Hun climbing on top of Daniel Boey, Shu Ying being bullied by Oliver, all sorts of things can be seen. But overall, we have fun.

So, get back to study, guys and girls. Happy testing.

Chris is in Penang!

Thanks for all your prayers, guys.

Chris is now in Penang, rejoicing with Siew Lee and his two wonderful children. His testimony in getting his passport back was really amazing. You just have to praise God for that. Hopefully he will share to everyone of us this coming Sunday. Stay tuned.

Reconcile Today. Don't Play Play.

Approximately 6 weeks ago, I was informed by Shanti (our dearly aunty in Christ in BOG) that one aunty in Christ was ill and she needs me to call her immediately for an important matter that needs to be settled right away. I did not really know what’s going on in her, yet in my spirit there is an urgency that I must call her as immediately as possible.

I successfully get in touch with her on the phone and all she wanted was just asking for reconciliation and seeking forgiveness on what she had done in the past that had offended me. I didn’t remember anything at all. Yet, in my spirit, I need to release my forgiveness to break the curses. So I did it. I forgave her, I also prayed for her healing on the phone, and declare it is done.

That was my last time listening to the voice of this dearly aunty in Christ, Fatimah. Today, she had departed us and gone home with Yeshua. We remembered her as a “Super Cleaner” (oh yes, she cleans the BOG toilet when everyone had gone home after Sunday meal and she made the toilet perfectly clean and new), a good aunty (always have wonderful testimonies – “Glory to Jesus, our God is a wonderful God, He is so good…”), and a good mother (always ensure her children are in good hands). I never forget her voice on the phone and the account of reconciliation. She had done well and I believe she had received the “Well Done! Good and Faithful Servant” Reward. We rejoice that she made it.

As for us on this earth, we will remember the importance of reconciliation. Repentance is always an action, it is not just merely words of saying sorry to God and that’s it; in fact, one of the actions of repentance is reconciliation. Reconciliation is not a requirement, nor a process. It is indeed a command of Christ, a “Do-or-Die” kind of thing. Many did not realize this and just let it passing by, but the consequence of holding back reconciliation is not something that we can bear. But the blessing out of doing it is really bountiful.

Always remember, reconcile today, NEVER let it delayed longer than 24 hours.

Here are those back for holidays:

Due to a sudden "winds of change" by the HS, no Family Day on May 1st. The Family Day tentative date would be around July 14. But again, things may change again because we may gather once again on July 13 for another celebration.

Do continue to pray for Mei Wan and Daniel for a successfuly wedding day - pray for good health, wisdom in planning, and favor from all people.

Please be ready to help on June 9, we may need lots of man power from YAFL.
